" Thank you for providing us with the most needed self-defense class. In the current state of our country we need such organizations that are able to see the gap between daily attacks and surviving gender based attacks. The mere fact that the lessons were offered without any charges, and Busy Bee Primary School being scouted by the organization itself, shows that their intentions are both caring and genuine, with pure concerns for girls and women in the society.
The learners felt empowered, Siyakunakekela made the little girls feel that they have a fighting chance and can avoid being victims themselves.
As a girl child in South Africa living in a society whereby men use their power to overpower women in every circumstance; the organization reminded us that we too can fight and protect ourselves. They too have the power to escape violent situations.
The team was amazing, kind yet firm. They made the girls feel comfortable with the self-defense steps that were efficient and easy to remember.
This wasn’t just physically empowering but mentally too." - Busy Bee Primary School
